Imposter Syndrome

Posted by Susan Faure on

Impostor syndrome (IS) refers to an internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be.
This is a relatively new term but one I am so glad where these feelings have been put into words. This is how I have felt my whole life and it can very hard to put yourself out there, whether that be as a business owner, working or even as a mum. So much out there exacerbates on what we deem to be our inadequacies.
It is so important to feed not just our body with nutritional food and exercise but our minds as well, with positive inputs, that build us up. Surround yourself with a village that supports you in the good times but also when you need an ugly cry. The village who you can be real with, because you will be, as competent as they perceive you to be. A village who reminds you that you are the daughter of a King.

One of the reasons I love great quotes, is because we should keep reminding ourselves that we are awesome and being ourselves is enough.
